I originally trained in fashion and textile design so taking up photography was just another way to explore visual ideas. Film felt like a better fit as I am interested in things that are process driven.
Why half frame?I heard about the half frame format from a friend. I was juxtaposing the digital stuff I was shooting in pairs before that anyway so it made sense to look into it further.
What are you trying to show?I am always looking for something that can connect the two frames — a color story, the way the geometry is divided, a simple idea like opposites or positive/negative space.
